What to expect: With only 30 rooms to maintain, hotel staff members give guests--mainly leisure travellers--individual service and attention. The compact lobby and lounge are decorated in homage to the French seaside town of Deauville, with blue-and-white stripes, seaview mural, a plant-filled atrium, and a rug figured in frothy waves. The hotel is located in the shopping district around Gare St-Lazare, just 800 meters (one half-mile) from the Opéra Garnier.
Amenity highlights: The Opéra Deauville offers a buffet breakfast including fresh fruit and juices in a stone-walled room, or Continental breakfast served in guestrooms on request. The reception desk is staffed 24 hours a day to assist guests with faxes, sightseeing, airport shuttle, childcare arrangements, or laundry services (fees may apply). Complimentary newspapers and sightseeing brochures are available in the lounge area.
Guests can use the fast RER regional train service from Gare St-Lazare station (two blocks from the hotel) to reach the La Défense business district and the Château of Versailles (Rive Droit) without transfers. Those sitting on the left side of the train have hilltop views over Paris and the Eiffel Tower.
