Hotel New Parnasse Paris    

Well located to the train station and reasonably clean but exceptionally small and exceptionally loud and busy at night.

We stayed there for 4 nights, we checked in at about 1am and the guy at the reception was nice. He handed us the key right away and directed us to our room without any question. The elevator was so tiny that could only fit 2 person with 2 suitcases. We booked triple sharing so we had the room in the 5th floor, which is 2 adjacent rooms. The room was cozy, with a small bathroom but it doesn't matter. The airconditioning was set to 22 degrees centigrade but doesn't help cooling the room. We told the receptionist coz they have the control but still it seems that there is no freon coming out, only the fan is working so we have to open the windows. It's a good thing that it's cooler at night. There were bars at the front of the hotel but it's not that noisy but to those who are sensitive to noise I would suggest to bring ear plugs. The location is convenient, there are 2 metro stations nearby, Gaite and edgar quinet. Simply grocery is nearby - turn left from the hotel then right on the main street. Couple of restaurants and bars on the way to edgar quinet station which some opens until 12mn. The area is pretty safe also. We passed by an open market along the streets in front of edgar quinet station one friday morning. The good thing about this hotel is they have 24 reception desk so you could come back to the hotel anytime you want, they clean the room and change the towels everyday but I don't think they change the sheets everyday. I guess that's the norm now even in hotels in Vegas. I rated the room 3 for small room and bathroom and for the non-functioning aircondition.

Good night, i spent there. the others hostel's occupants (rooms around mine) were a little too noisy lately in the evening or, i'drather say, very early in the morning : speaking loud. But otherwise it was ok and the grat advantage is to be very near of the railway station (Montparnasse bienvenue grande lignes)

I spend five days in paris with my family in february 2012. we enjoyed our time very much. we stayed at the hotel New Parnasse Hotel for four nights. The staff at hotel had a warm welcome for us when we arrived and where very helpful throughout the stay

Pros: The hotel is ok n the stuff nice n friendly

Pros: Wifi ok. staff very nice and helpful. our room was to the court and really silent.
Cons: Digital tv very poor. too many things in the room, one chair would be enough, refrigerator filled with ice but only few bottles: not really ecological behaviour.

Pros: Bonne ambiance, bon site, bon hôtel
Cons: Quelques fois une odeur désagréable du tuyau d'écoulement
les murs sont très minces

Pros: Very convenient location near montparnasse train station and air france bus to the airports.
Cons: Very small room with old furnitures. the plumbing fixtures are very noisy, bad noise isolation in the room. welcome not very friendly and messy lobby. i will not come back to this hotel.

Pros: Excellent location - quiet and good value for money
Cons: Rooms appear to be undergoing some renovation the bathroom was very modern but the lights and furniture in the rooms were a bit tatty

Pros: Very helpful staff and made an effort to speak english. there's an area around the hotel that's shady-strip club, etc. , so just have to go around it when leaving or going to the hotel. location is 1/8 of a block from the train station.
Cons: The sink was clogged. we tolerated it since we only stayed for one night

Pros: Staff were pleasant, it is close to gare parnasse.
Cons: Room was cramped, tv was not working.

Pros: Room very clean, wifi excellent and safe locatio
Cons: One of the staff on the afternoon shift not very friendly just moody. could not use the tv and i speak french
