BEST WESTERN PLUS Hotel Blue Square Amsterdam    

Our group had a pleasant stay and was surprised by the low price.The hotel is clean and quiet and has spacious rooms and a competent and friendly per-sonnel. It has good transport connections to city centre and airport.

mostly great with really nice and friendly receptionists, however one night one of the receptionists was a middle aged man who was a bit strange and seemd to like to take the mickey out of his guests. either that or it was a guest pretending to be a receptionist.

Good clean hotel in a good location, not far from the city centre. A choice of two different trams and a bus gets you to the city centre.Nice clean rooms, bathrooms are modern. Good Friendly Service.

Hotel doesn't look much from outside but it's lovely inside and all the staff were lovely and so helpful . Bus and team stop outside hotel and easy to get to and from the centre of amsterdam

Stayed at this hotel Sept 2012 . Not keen on location. Little out of town, although usage of trams was very easy. About 20 mins into main town. Hotel staff were very friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Had breakfast one morning and evening meal in hotel one night and the food was pretty good.The bed was the the most comfy I have ever slept in. Not so close to Amsterdam's center, but it's easy to go there by tram or bus (20-30 minutes). Room very clean, spacious, with all we need. Staff was available to help us.A little expensive for a student budget ( especially the breakfast is not included), but it's a good place to stay for 2-3 days.

Very pleased with the hotel. Room was very clean and large...... beds very comfy. Location was 20 mins form city centre but transport was easy via tram link nearby. staff very helpful The no 69 bus for airport stopped up the road from the hotel. The location is in an ethnic area but this was not a problem very enjoyable stay.

All was ok except that the room was on the street side and so during the night we heardsome noise.... (tramways, buses, cars, people talking......)

The hotel I can recommend if a 20 minute ride on a tram or bus to the city centre is not a problem for you. If you plan to return to the hotel several times during the day, a hotel nearer the centre is maybe a better option. The hotel is clean and quiet, lies in the area where a lot of Turkish people live - there is a Turkish market near. An ALDI supermarket is on the way to the tram stop, so you can buy food for breakfast and supper if you don't choose to take advantage of the breakfast service at the hotel. There were cups in our room, a kettle to boil the water, supply of tea and coffee. Should you eat at the hotel, take sth to eat on as plates are not provided. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the bathroom was quite big and all worked fine. Towels are changed every day, as well as bed linen and sheets. We couldn't connect to the Wifi on our mobiles the first day, but no problems on the laptop. Later on we could connect on the mobile as well. If you don't have laptop with you, you can use the computers next to the reception desk.There are trams number 7 and 14 which go to the centre and bus number 21 which goes to the Central Rail Station which is in the centre as well. Anyway you can get a sheet with all neccessary information at the reception desk as well as the map of the centre. I am not so sure about transport to the hotel if you plan to return to the hotel very late - the last normal trams leave the centre in the direction of the hotel at around half past midnight. You should ring the hotel and ask about night busses. It is a little difficult to orientate yourself in the city the first two days, maybe because of a lot of canals. The maps provided by hotels are quite good after you found your bearings but during the first days it is not detailed enough. It could be a good investment to buy a good map with routes of trams, busses and metro.

Although its is not in the centre but you have all the means of transport just outside the hotel that will take you to centre in 20 minutes , The room was very spacious excellent standard.The staff at the reception was very helpful and polite and were able to provide with the tips.you can buy all the excursion tickets from hotels so you need not stand in queue for buying ticketBus no 69 takes you to and from the schipol airport and its stops in front of hotel.Overall the hotel is recommended for family and couple stays.

Pros: Beautifully decorated, helpful staff, free wifi and very clean
Cons: Nothing major but the bathroom door lock didn't work

Pros: Hotel room was clean and comfortable, very comfortable beds nice bathroom. doesnt take long to get into the centre and ther is a tram stop at the end of the road. modern hotel with everything you need.
Cons: Only thing i could say is the shower wasnt great as it kept going hot and cold, altho the bathroom itself was good.

Pros: Tram stop to city center very close (about 200m). 20 min ride to dam square. breakfast with variety, good value for money. would recommend the hotel

Pros: Excellent breakfast! the mattresses used by this hotel are phenomenal. i would call them better than memory foam!
and they have their own underground parking garage for a reasonable fee. or reached by tram from central station within 10 minutes.
