our stay here was ok location was fantastic but me and my friends did have money stolen from our room on 2 separate occasions whilst we was out. the first time £100 got stolen and on the second occasion £40 got stolen.

On arriving we were told we had to pay more than what was stated on our booking form and the woman blamed it on e-bookers the website we booked on. On top of this, we had to also pay city tax, which we were never told, so in all, what we thought was a good deal for the hostel, actually turned out to be quite expensive. The breakfast was very poor with no cold drinks. The staff however were very friendly. I would recommend to stay here simply because of the location.

This hostel really is based in the Heart of the Red Light District. Service at the front desk isn't the best but they do their job once they are actually present. Breakfast is very random as there is no kitchen or canteen area, it is jus serviced by reception. However the hostel is a good place to crash for a few days, very clean, easy-to-get-to, cheap and cheerful.

All clean and tidy, comfy beds. Next level location on the red light district especially for a lads trip! Amesterdam is next level sweet would defintily go to this hostel again for price we paid was well above what I was expecting!

Very nice trip hôtel at the best spot of the town, inside :))we all smock weed in amsterdam but in the hotel it's not allowed to smock in the room...IT's very expansive and we can't smock !! BUt nice hotel, it was my sucond time in amsterdam and 2 nd in this hotel nad if i come back i would choose this hotel and yuse your booking website because it's easy and goo services !

the stay was a disaster! I booked the room but my plane was delayed so i arrived after my friends and didn't do the check in, if i'd been there i would have ask for another room! to put it simply our room was IN THE BASEMENT! no windows except some small opening s, the view was inside the house, feet level! the floor was a dirty already at our arrival! I asked after our first night if they could clean the floor (which should have been cleaned prior to our arrival!) but when we got back to the hotel, they 've only changed the towels but dindn't clean the floor, or very badly! living in the basement of an old hous isn't fun , in the morning people walking around, the wooden floor, made it more sound like a group of elefant stumbling across the bulding!we didn't eat the breakfast but it looked like cheap, brouwn bread butter and jam...on plastic plate!this was my 6th time in amsterdam, every times i stayed in "real hotels" and now i can say, it's worth the price, maybe you'll pay double the price, but comfort and cleanness come with it! andy you'll be happy to get our of the shower and walk i nyour bedroom on a clean floor and be able to sleep in the morning after a long night!p.s: your review typing field sucks! can't even type proprely!

The hotel is not worth the price. Bad breakfast , noisy surrondings which did a bad sleeping, bad service and definiltely no place for an family.

It is what it is. If you like that, then it's great. Our room was clean, but the lobby often wasn't. This was less of an issue of the staff, only that the potheads staying there leave their trash everywhere.

Myself and friends had a great time at the Heart of Amsterdam, our room was clean, staff was very nice, the breakfast was so good we will be going back to this hotel in august .Well done Heart of Amsterdam see you all soon

Location is good, rooms are bit small and should have one more bathroom or at downstairs, breakfast is good and healthy which is a plus point, not far from cenral staion or tram stops. Value for money, beds are ok sizde

Cons: They were having the basement refurbished between 9am and 5pm every day. the outside looked like a dump and the rooms were not much better.

Pros: I had a misunderstanding of the same being a hotel as that was a hostel

Pros: Great location, good sized and clean room, towels included
Cons: Unfortunately our six bed room was right next to the roadside and was therefore fairly noisy....

Pros: 4 day city break to amsterdam, hotel very central and fitted all our needs. would definitely go back.
Cons: Included breakfast not very fresh, but apart from that a great place.

Pros: Very relaxed atmosphere, great location
Cons: Bad smell and bed bugs

Pros: My positive experience was to know so different people from other countrys.
