 "Hotel breakfast"
Fabulous location , Three friends and we stayed in room 31 thinking it would be noisy but no, room very warm and the best hotel beds ever., guaranteeing a good nights sleep. A lovely fire in the lounge waiting for you when you arrive back in the evening lovely to have a nightcap before going to bed. The only criticism I would have is the breakfast time - it gets very crouded and difficult to help yourself at times. Could be more space so that you can help yourself more easily. However thas the only negative.

 "Lovely hotel"
The hotel is in the centre of town and is less than a 10 minute walk from Amsterdam central train station, the staff were very friendly,helpful and spoke perfect english as well. The rooms we had were spacious and the beds were extemely comfortable. Highly recommend

 "Good hotel,great service!!!"
We arrived late at the hotel but I had organised a bottle of champagne via email as was dubious but it was chilled and waiting in the room.the room was small but just right and Jessica from reception was outstanding!!!

 "Amsterdam trip"
Great trip hotel very good. Staff helpful. Traffic noise a little bit of pain but that's what you get for good location close too station.Breakfast very busy between 09.00 and 10.00 before that on your own.Hotel staff very good with maps and any other info required.

 "Great City"
Geat location, Clean room, friendly staff. My only complaint was the noise from the street outside our window. The room had no A/C and the trolley line,with cars and scooters,go right past hotel. You had to make a choice,either try to sleep in a very warm room with a tiny table fan or sleep with the window open and put up with the noise below. We chose to keep the window closed and tolerate the heat, so our sleep wasn't the best. Other than that its a good spot 5 min from train station....Note: Some of the rooms do have A/C, make sure you inquire.

Very good location from central station and bars and shops. Hotel room and ensuite very clean with nice plasma screen. Good experience for first time visitor.

 "Excellent location - awful sleep"
I stayed with my family (two kids, my wife and me) in a four-bedroom room. The location was excellent, the service was also excellent. The breakfast was basic but satisfactory. The room was clean, but not as clean as I would like it to be. My son lost his Nintendo DS and he could not find it and at night we realized that it was under his pillow. The person who made the beds did not even notice it!!! The quality of sleep was awful. I could not sleep well because the quality of the bed was not good. If the management of the hotel could prove to me that they fixed the beds issue, I would probably return to the hotel because I liked the staff and the location.Jason

 "Very good"
Very nice, clean tidy, good breakfast and fantastic location. We would definitely stay again. It has a nice location and is very handy to access all sights. Has a tourist information site and you can book trips from here also

Pros: I thought that hotel sint nicolass was great the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy and we got a good nights sleep there. breakfast was also really good! there were a range of guests from young to older from business to leisure travellers.

Pros: Prior to our visit, i had read a negative comment about the staff at the sint nicholaas. couldn't be farther from the truth as the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect experience. the location is incredible, a 5 minute walk from the central train station. the breakfast was wonderful with a full range of fruits, cheeses, meats, breads etc., etc! i wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in amsterdam if you are looking for a really cool boutique hotel.

Cons: The sint nicolaas staff were very rude and not nice to us, at first they forced us to pay everything from advance although nothing like that was written any where, they gave us single beds although we were honeymooners, and to top it up they didnt tell us at the night in which they swiched the clock to summer time, which caused us to miss breakfast. when we wanted to check out and leave our lauggage in the storing room they told us there's no room in the storage room since we checked out too late! to which we recieved confirmation that it's ok to check out an hour later.
to make things short, if i could leave the hotel in the middle i would but it would have probably ruin my vacation, i would never go back there again...
