    Dún Laoghaire Harbour Details

Dún Laoghaire Harbour is home to the Stena SS Ferry, one of the most scenic travel options between Dublin and Holyhead in Wales. In addition to the ferry, the harbor also provides tourists and locals alike with a chance to view the boats and ships, as well as stroll along the East and West piers.Harbor construction first started in 1817, but Dun Laoghaire Harbor wasn't fully completed until 1842. The interior has been fully updated with a coffee shop and a souvenir shop, as well as benches to sit outside and enjoy the views. There are also a number of restaurants and shops around the harbor itself. It isn't hard to see why Maeve Binchy, the famous Irish author, used this harbor in many of her best-selling novels.
