Very convenient for good public transport links to central Berlin - 5 mins walk to U and S Bahn stations with trams on the doorstep. Don't be put off by the entrance through two apartment block courtyards. Quiet, Clean, Comfortable and Friendly but basic so don't expect the Ritz. Breakfast is a substantial cold buffet with coffee available in the reception area throughout the day. hallways are on sensor/timed light-switches which don't always work as they should. Furnishings in rooms are tired some of beds are on their last legs. For the price we paid for a New Year Break this place was a bargain. We're frequent visitors to Berlin and know the Prenzlauerberg district well. Restaurants, local shops and bars all within spitting distance of the hotel - We'll definitely be staying there again. WARNING!!!! THE HOTEL OPERATES ON A CASH ONLY BASIS - NO CARDS ACCEPTED - WE NEARLY GOT CAUGHT OUT WHEN IT CAME TO CHECKING OUT EARLY IN THE MORNING.
