Amberley House Dublin  

Great hotel, not that expensive to stay at, but nice staff, servic, good and cleanliness. Located only a seven minute walk from Temple Bar and Grafton Street. Would definetely recommend it to everyone.

The Amberley House was a fantastic find! The staff was courteous, prompt and helpful, and the room was beautiful! The bath was astounding, shower hot, and great bed. The full breakfast in the morning was spectacular, and gave us a nice start to our day. This location is wonderful because it's within walking distance to all the fun and interesting things to do downtown Dublin. The green tourist bus picked up and dropped off within the same block of this location. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and at such a great price. We will definitely go back!

This hotel represents excellent value for money in Dublin. It is within easy walking distance of the CBD and conventional center (10 - 15 minutes.) I stayed for five nights while attending a conference. The staff are uniformly pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is more than adequate and the front door is about 40 meters from the bus-stop for the 747 airport bus.Would definitely stay here again. It would be good if the wireless internet coverage could be extended to cover the rooms in the new part of the hotel, though. One has to go down to the lobby / breakfast room to get a signal.

Our stay at Amberley House was all that we needed it to be. Beds were clean, shower was hot, room was comfortable,breakfast was lovely ,the staff were really helpful and friendly and the location was perfect for all that we wanted to do. We would definately stay there again the next time we visit family in Dublin.

The Hotel was adequate but dissapointing. We booked on line and liked the look of the rooms but in reality the quality of the rooms did not match the photos.On arrival both the towel rail an toilet paper holders were broken and this had to be pointed out before they were fixed.The dining room was small and on both days we had to wait. There were some inconsistencies for example the menu stated you could have eggs any way you liked but as we found out that is if they were fried or scrambled, they didn't do poached nor did they understand what poached was. We understood there was a 72 hour free cancellation. 28 days before our arrival I changed our booking from a 4 bed to 2 bed room but was still required to pay the original amount.Was it adequate? Yes, only just. Would we stay there again? No. Would we recommend it? No. Having stayed in several B & Bs in Ireland this was definitely the bottom of the pile.

The location is central so it is very easy to get to the center of Dublin.We have visited the city entirelly walking directly from the hotel.The Dart station (useful for visiting the neighboroughs) is at 500 mt.The Bus to/from the airport at few meters.Excellent the Irish Breakfast.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms basic but fine for a couple of nights stay as its only a place to sleep. My only moan is that it was on a main road and traffic noise 24-7 but otherwise really enjoyed our stay at Amberley House.

The room was small for 4 people but besides this, the service was great. Breakfast was good and even us, as vegetarians had what to eat. Beds were very comfortable. No complains and we recommend with all our hart.

all right ... but the first room we were given was a real dump, good that we were allocated after our observations. Otherwise, everything's ok.

Cons: You have to pay the full amount when you arrive and the staff have had a personality by- pass. also we had a taxi booked for 5.30 . my friends and i asked the receptionist if he could wake us up at 5 am. however this didn't happen

Cons: The room was disappointing - the headboard was off the bed, leaving damaged plaster to the wall behind the bed & there were dirty marks on the wall as if some sort of liquid had been splashed across part of one wall
