"stay in quentin"

Its not bad just not good enough for a 3 star rating, still hairs and dirt all over the bed from other guests. TV is too high and really hated the bathroom. The shower was basically right in front of the toilet and the bathroom floor was the shower area too. Very annoying having water constantly splash on to the toilet and then run all over my feet. Location wad however perfectly close to leidseplein and nice view from the window. Did meet a fantastically polite gentleman who worked the reception area overnight, "Nick" is his name and was very accomodating to my every request, a credit to Quentinhotels. Would definitely stay again if the bathroom were different and the laundry cleaner.

"I was lucky"

Budget room for a night cost me 29 euro, steep stairs, but a clean little room, free Internet access, breakfast not before eight and therefore not for me, but would've cost extra anyway. Centrally located, nice staff, can't complain really

"great location and service"

We had a lovely stay there, the room was small but cosy, clean and warm. Its located in part of the town where you have a great number of restaurants, stores and it's always something happening and to get to the city center, you can take a walk.of merely 15 minutes. The hotel staff were very kind. We had a problem with heating one morning and they fixed in two hours!All in all, really nice place to stay and have a great time in Amsterdam! :)

"Great Value"

Excellent value room, in the centre of a lively area, but out of the way so its not too noisy. Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing fancy, but perfect for a couple of nights, clean and had everything you need.

"Quentin Hotel Amsterdam"

I was very excited about my first trip to Amsterdam and researched the hotels for days trying to pick a good location coupled with a good hotel. The first part was fine as the location is great, however, the hotel, not so great. It looks nothing like the pictures in real life, the room was extremely small, bed linen and bathroom were not 100% clean so i had to clean bathroom before using it. Staff were ok, not the best, but ok. I had thought about changing hotel before we went away as i saw a good deal with another one, however decided to stick with Quentin. Really wish i had changed my mind now!!

"no phone and couldn't swing a cat"

never again. no phone in my room. tiny 'bath towels'. tiny pillows. noisy corridor. insufficient power sockets for the lamps and appliances in my room - nevermind my own iPad and phone chargers.. room light didn't work and wasn't repaired when raised to the mgmt.

"Weekend at the Quentin"

Receptonist was pleasant and helpful but I can find no other reason to recommend it. Our bedroom was in the basement. The only one window opened onto a small cupboard next to the lift machinery. It was stiffling in there and even the ceiling fan failed to cool the room sufficiently. If the price had reflected the quality of the room then I would have little reason to complain but it was not cheap at 365 euros for 3 nights

"Great place, great people."

The place isn't perfect and the rooms not luxurious, but it's a really good place. It is very clean. There's good room service daily. Even the corners and hidden areas show regular cleaning. Bearing in mind that it's very reasonably priced, it's hard to beat. The location is great just off Leidseplien on a quiet street next to a picturesque canal. The breakfast is basic but very good quality. The biggest problem is some of the rooms are tiny. I had tried to secure what I thought would be one of the largest rooms and was initially disappointed with the room they took me to. It wasn't possible to have both the suitcase open and sit in a chair at the same time and still have room to walk around. But, they showed me another room that was still cozy, but quite adequate. I stayed for 9 nights and really enjoyed it. The only criticism I have is they could update the quality of the chair in the room. I have to say they are really bad quality, just very cheap, discount fold-up chairs. Any level of up-grade would be a substantial improvement. Probably the best thing though is the quality of the people. They are just great and went out of their way to help a visitor in any way they could. Thanks Folks!

The Quentin has excellent staff, is clean, well-located, and just all-round a very, very good option if you are looking for a value-for-money option.

"Our stay"

We had 5 rooms altogether, economy rooms were a bit of a squeeze. One room apparently a wierd sewage smell in bathroom, another room bed was very noisy, my room which was num 409 had a bad shower, no pressure and hard to get temperature right. The Hotel and room were very clean which is good, the staff were nice except one lady who would not do anything about my friend locking the keys out, we were checking out and apparently leaving our keys in the room was our problem. An excellent location

"Wonderful hotel !"

I stayed here with friends in July (we had been backpacking but decided to splurge on a hotel for a few nights) and loved it! Located in a really nice part of town meant that we could get a good nights sleep but still walk everywhere.The hotel staff are friendly and the place is immaculate. Our room looked freshly renovated and was just what we needed.I absolutely LOVED Amsterdam too, and will be staying here again!

"A Dump in the Center of Amsterdam"

This hotel is as bad as it gets.Horrible mattresses that will bruise your ribs and keep you awake.Dirty old awful carpets with marijuana cigarette burn marks all over.Small would be an upgrade, rooms and bathrooms are TINY, tiny as in you will have a hard time opening your suitcases tiny. You will be literally be tripping on each other tiny.This hotel is probably in the BEST location in Amsterdam, right in the middle of everything.This hotel is perfect for young people on a budget, going to Amsterdam to get drunk and high on pot, you can easily stumble back into the Quentin Amsterdam any time of the night with no trouble, the hotel is right there in the middle of all the action.Staff is super courteous, and they will try to do everything they can to make you happy, but there is just so much they can do.If you are used to comfort, this hotel is not for you.If you need a place in the middle of Amsterdam on a budget, go ahead, we survived, you probably will too.

"Not good"

We couldn't sleep at all. Walls are so thin so you can hear everything. Next time we will take better hotel.

"A well located but otherwise average hotel."

In common with most other Amsterdam hotels of similar standard it is a little overpriced & very ordinary. However, it is well located close to the entertainment area & museums.It is also almost next to a canal boat wharf. The young woman at reception was friendly & helpful.

"Close to Leidseplein"

My second stay. This time in a renovated room. Not all rooms are that nice. Perfect location and just around the corner from the Leidseplein, Theaters, Melkweg and Paradiso.

"Good Gig Hotel Close"

we wer going to the melkweg for a gig and hotel is real close and also real close to tram lines so easy to get to. we had budget room with own toliet the room was a bit cramped but clean and was a budget so was the same as described on the web site. the hotel does have a lift as the stairs are tight and narrow. the only drawback we came across was the front steps leading to the hotel these were also steep and well worn not great for the less able but overall the hotel gave me what it promised and i got what i needed and i would stay there again.

"city break"

hi the quentin hotel was great value for the price i arived in amsterdamearly on the day .went to the hotel to leave my luggage until my room was ready icould check in it was only 10 30. nice room helpfull and plesant staff would stay there again

"Amsterdam"

Our stay at Quentin Amsterdam Hotel was good. We didn't really intend to be in our rooms, but they were great for sleeping, great location!! I would recommend this hotel.
