"NY"

The hotel is a good 3 stars. Excellent location. Better the room in the upper floor (less noise from the street). A thing to improve was the lift service, sometimes for example in the morning the waiting time is a bit long.

"Good service for a reasonable price"

The hotel was very good, the location, the rooms, the breadfast, I would check the AC but I would advice this hotel to friends and family if they want to visit NYC. The bed was very comfortable and the room in general had a lot of space.

"Perfect tourist hotel"

Good location with direct access to subway.Large room and kingsize bed. Clean bathroom of normal size.Breakfast is very very basic on plastic plates and cups in a very small room.Conclusion: room and location is perfect, breakfast is very basic.

"Great location, room small (but it is NY) but building noise..."

We were very happy with location (Korea town). We received friendly welcome, after rather tortuous journey from UK. Room small but guess most in NY are, tidy and clean and good strong shower. Breakfast (as some reviewers have said) can be a bit of a scrum as the room is small but choose your time and it is really well provisioned and good helpful staff on hand. It makes for a great start. The complaints are two - only two lifts means you can wait some time for moving around the building (we were on 13th floor) and two days out of four there was really loud drilling from below between about 4pm and 6pm - made time spent in room impossible, one day I had gone back with headache and needed rest before going out to theatre and second night had Carnegie Hall tickets. The noise was impossible to bear - when I called I was told it was refurb work on 11th floor and it would last until 5:15 'ish it didn't! It lasted until 6pm. I spoke to Reception agian and whilst I was offered chance of room move the next day with only short time in NY that meant a lot of hassle. I really think I should have been told on check-in and in fact question whether the room on floor directly above work should have been let. I was sorry they had not been upfront with me.

"Gret price, but noise and cold."

They told me I'd booked a smoking room, so they gave me this room at the 2nd floor right by the breakfast rooms. The hotel was full like hell, so I've never bothered to ask them for a change (besides, they told me "Don't worry, sir, it's a wonderful room"). The room was quite spacious for NYC's standard. A little bit smelly being a room for smokers, an the windows were not sealed so there was a nasty drift h24. The air conditioner was old and loud, almost impossible to use. The breakfast is a joke, but better than nothing. The reception would need more people to cope withe the astoninishing mass of guests. Well, for the price and the position I can say that it was worth it.

"Pleasant surprise in Koreatown"

I really liked this place! Quiet room, comfy bed, friendly staff, handy location. I will gladly return. I arrived very late and was greeted by a cheerful staff member named Edwin. Room quiet as a church and loved the bed, didn't want to leave in the morning.

"Good enough..."

Room was comfortable enough, although aircon unit noisy and plug in bath didn't work. Staff not very friendly, but perfectly helpful. Limited hot options at breakfast if you can't eat toast. Would stay again.

"reception"

we spent à good stay; in the hotel. Fortunetely, i can speak french with an assistant who heph me to understand the telephone message.Some assistants don't want to listen what i say ('with a bad accent!!)but it was very difficult to understand the american message . I was a little tressed , our fligth was cancelled.However, i 'm satisfy , all the staff was very pleasant, our room very clean, the breakfast very substancial

"Great and very Central located Hotel"

Hotel is right in the Center of manhattan. Very friendly Staff As well As clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was also ok, they Even had fresh fruits. Lounge with free coffee, Hot chocolate and water was also nice.

"OK for families"

A lot of street noise (waste collectors on 32nd Street at around 3AM almost every night). Nice and friendly staff. Basic breakfast. Location great but would consider to be further away from mid town and close to subway next NY visit.

"Room review"

General area outside was dirty. Pictures advertising this hotel are not a true reflection of what it is actually like. Room was not clean found hairs all over bathroom floor the room itself was shabby and in serious need of makeover. Staff we met were pleasant and welcoming however would not stay in this hotel again.

"Nice hotel"

We stayed in the Nyma for 5 days. It's a nice and very good located hotel with a view on the Empire State Building and in walking distance of Times Square, Broadway, Rockefeller Center. The Empire State Building is just around the corner. Penn station, from where you can take the train or subway, is also nearby and from where there's a good connection to the airport (JFK or Newark). The hotel has nice rooms with a very small bathroom and free WiFi. A continental breakfast was included and not that bad. Personnel of the hotel could be more friendly

"Gem on New York"

I am travelling alone on a budget and NYMA was perfect for my needs. The Queen room is spacious, their fees are very reasonable fir NY standards, staff are friendly and helpful and you cant get a better location. I enjoyed my stay so much I changed by plans and booked another week, I was also thrilled to have a BATH TUB in my room!

"Very central position"

Pros: Very central position.
Cons: The breakfeast room was unbearably hot. the rooms are very dark and somber. my room was facing the street and extremely noisy so at night it was a choice between colera or pest , open window or ac.
