"hmmmmm...."

Ok if you really don't want to spend any money, not so ok if you expect a little more bathroom luxury, third bed was a field bed, not a real bed, very tiny, other single beds were okay. Advice: If you stay at this hotel, bring your own towel and bring bathroom slippers!

"Close to the metro!"

This hotel was friendly when I arrived. It is only a few yards from the train station (Gare du Nord). The best thing about it was the proximity to the train station and the fact that it was clean. I think it a basically good value for Paris.

"Do not stay here!"

Tiny room/bathroom. Very noisy. No room cleaning/bed making. Uncomfortable beds. Several room facilities listed in booking confirmation did not exist. In a month in Europe this was by far the worst hotel we stayed in.

"Excellent value"

We had a 4 night stay whilst sightseeing in the city. We felt it was excellent value for money, the room was comfortable, clean and more than adequate for our needs. the hotel is only 2 star but we would stay again. 3 minute walk from Gard du Nord, 15 minute walk from Sacre Couer and the bus ride was 15mins into the city and stopped right outside the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked late and as a result our room was in the attic and smaller than the rooms below so next time we wouldn't leave our booking so late

"Close to Train Station"

Greeted by friendly staff upon arrival who were very helpful.Close walk to the train station which was the main reasonfor our stay as we were traveling by train early in the morning.comfy bed had a great couple of nights sleep.would definetly visit the Terminus Nord - Brasserie for dinner.

"Citytrip"

The hotel is located nearby Gare du Nord, and provides good value for money.Allthough the street is a bit noisy at nights, we had 2 good nights of sleep. Beds are good, rooms are clean and breakfast is nice.

"Excellent value"

Excellent location 2 minute walk from Gare du Nord Station. Open top tour bus available near the station and metrobus stop outside the hotel, very good for transport.Nice bakery for breakfasts/lunch's just down the road to help save on the Paris prices.Room was clean and is only 2 star, so you get what you pay for.We would stay again.

"Disappointed"

Booked this hotel last minute so little time to research. Sounded good, did not quite live up to advert. Good points: Had a lift, nice breakfast (at extra cost), pleasant and helpful Reception/breakfast staff, able to store baggage after checkout very useful.Bad points: Advertised a fan but none available in whole of hotel (no air conditioning)No TV remote in room, one supplied later but we had to go down and ask for itNo pillowcase on one of the pillowsShowerhead and tap very dirty - not been cleaned for some timeNo plug in sink (good job I took my own!)Carpet could have done with a good cleanWith a more efficient housekeeper this would be an ideal stopping point in Paris

"Should be called Motel not Hotel"

Stayed in Paris for 3 nights with my husband and kids and this seemed like a good deal since in Europe they charge per person. We got in late at night by train and had trouble finding the MOTEL. It's close to the train station (about 5 min walk) but tucked away in a little corner and not well known. The room was really tiny even for Paris standards, it was poorly lit (the light flickered) and the decor was dated. The WiFi was not working and there was only one outlet which was placed in an odd corner far away from the desk. Would not recommend even for a night's sleep unless you are desperate like we were (it was late and we were in an unfamiliar city with our kids). The next day we checked in to the Ibis Styles which I highly recommend.

"Feedback about our stay at Hotel Maubeuge"

To whom it may concern, When we booked the hotel online there was not clear instruction that the check in time is at 13:30 even they have vacant rooms. Although they had empty room we had to waste time as we arrived at 10am. one of the receptionists who was a black lady with Hejab was very abrupt and sometimes rude. The other receptionists were very pleasant and nice. The beds had bedbugs (lice) and were bitten by them several times and I personally killed two of them without mentioning it to others in case their trip would be ruined. The towels were not changed regularly. The location of the hotel is very good about 400 metre away from the Gare De Nord. If they manage the hotel well it can be one of the best hotels in central paris as it has the potential. The breakfast doesn't worth 7.50 euro. It should be either included or they should reduce the price.

"Hotel Mauberge"

Breakfast was 'rationed' with set amounts of butter, chesse, croissants etc. There was no plug in the bath, or shower curtain for the shower, making washing very difficult. There was a foul smell in the bathrooom. As the weather was very warm, we had to have the window open all night, but this resulted in sleepless nights due to the traffic noise on the street. The bedroom was clean and the staff were friendly.

"Basic , Small, but no Complaints"

Spent three nights at Hotel Maubeuge. Yes, the room and bathroom were tiny, so were the beds, but everything was clean and in workable condition. Personnel was very helpful and polite without exception! Great location, walking distance to Sacre Coeur and both train stations, bus stop to all other sights directly in front of the hotel.Breakfast was ok.

"Well located and trying to upgrade itself"

Very good location. The premises are being renovated. Daily service seemed a bit slapdash but staff were happy to remedy anything when asked.Room was a good size and had a good TV but no station in English which is strange for a capital city hotel.

"Ok hotel"

The hotel isn't the worst I've stayed in. It's a little old and I think that's why it looked the way it did, but it wasn't too bad. The walls are extremely thin and you hear your neighbors clearly. Other than that, it's not bad for a European hotel.

"Cheap stay in Paris"

Excellent location close to Gare Du Nord with easy access to central Paris. WiFi included in price. Good service if you speak French. They speak a little English though. We were allowed to leave our luggage in the hotel before and after checking in. Pay on last day was a sign of a decent establishment. Rooms have a TV and are big enough to accommodate a couple. Worth the price! Good amenities within 1 minute walk - bakery, Chinese restaurant, corner shop.

"One night at the Maubeuge"

It was very close to the Gare du Nord and as I was arriving after 9pm I didn't feel secure about travelling across Paris. I travelled alone and found the streets a little intimidating around the station because lots of people, not travellers, were hanging around. However, this was balanced by the liveliness of the area.The man at reception was very helpful and polite. The room was tiny and so was the bathroom, but I expected that. The room was superficially clean, but a little dingy and was dusty inside the wardrobe space on the floor. The carpet and curtains had definitely seen better days. The mattress was new and clean. The building had a certain charm with its vivid painted woodwork and parquet flooring. The breakfast was not disappointing. It was brought in a basket with a pot of coffee, croissant, wholemeal and plain baguette as well as orange juice and a yoghurt. I would recommend the hotel to someone who needs to use it for its convenience only.

"New Clean Boutique Hotel"

The service at the hotel was very nice. He made sure that I was squared away asking me small "can i help you with anything" questions. The room was very clean, new everything and on the 4th floor...oh and this hotel has an elevator! hooray.Free Wifi which worked pretty fast. Close to the main Gare du Nord train stations. and bus stops are literally right at the doorstep of the hotel.pretty cool.

Convenient location near to Gare du Nord. A bit cramped but spent very little time in the hotel. Numerous retaurants and bars closeby.
