Hotel Ca Lucrezia Venice  

good hotel ,clean rooms and bathroom , ok breakfast ,great area not far from the bus station and the train station ,would stay there again.you are given a front door key to let yourself in this was no problem

Pros: Great location
Cons: Chuch bell ring in early morning. a bit distrubing.

Pros: Good location for train/cruise ship. very kind front desk help. reasonable rate for int3ernet access.
Cons: Stairs are a good climb with luggage.

Cons: After 3:30' no hotel personal be ther. we have to use key to open the hotel door. if anything happened, no one can talk to.

Pros: The staff very friendly and helpful, the room was huge (by standards of other venice/italy hotel rooms), and it was very cosy and warm.
Cons: Nothing negative, but this hotel does not have a lift. 55 stairs to the top for luggage

Pros: I had looked at the location map prior to making the booking, but i was still impressed by how conveniently located this hotel was - incredibly close to the train station and the grand canal. the staff were friendly and happy to store our bags for us when we arrived early - also, we were catching a late train out on departure day, and managed to leave four bags at the hotel for an additional charge of 3 euro total (a lot cheaper than the train station!) included breakfast was nicer than many i've had, and was really a bonus for the price we paid. it was lovely to sit in the rear courtyard and eat our breakfast, a nice respite from the bustle of venice.
Cons: We were woken on sunday morning by the ringing of a nearby church bell, but this was quite charming really! the room was on the small side (i had to stash my suitcase under the desk/tv table) but i suspect this is probably normal for budget hotels in venice. no elevator, which was fine for us as we were only on the first floor up, but might be a problem for others who are less mobile or are on higher floors.
