Mutrah Hotel Muscat  

If you are looking for a clean and affordable hotel and very helpful and welcoming staff, then Mutrah Hotel is the right hotel for you.We had an issue in our first room on the 3rd floor, Bernard offered us a room move to the ground floor then was everything fine. The location is very good around 20 minutes walk to the souk and 25 minutes walk to the Corniche.This is a 2 star hotel, but the staff are 5 star they are very helpful and very welcoming.We would like to thank Bernard, who was very helpful, made our stay very comfortable and made us feel very welcoming.We would also like to thank, Vijay at the reception, Durga and his mom breakfast waiter, Ganesh restaurant waiter and the chef Rajan at dinnertime, Mahesh and Azem from housekeeping, Mahesh cleaned our room everyday to a very high standard.We had a few dinners at the hotel restaurant, I must say it was one of the best Indian meals we had for a long time, thank you chef (Rajan) and Ganesh.Everyone staying at this hotel should try the restaurant.We really enjoyed our stay in Muscat. Thank you

I would not recommend this hotel except for the price that is acceptable. But the rooms are not that good, very bad bathrooms with flooding after each shower ! Also rather noisy... I did not really appreciated my stay there.

The Hotel and the rooms have everything a tourist needs, walking distance to the Souk and the Corniche about 15-20 minutes. Good Breakfast Buffet. Nice, helpful staff. You will not find a Dubai luxury, but for this price in Muscat a really good deal. Only the elevator is a bit aged and needs to be renovated. Some rooms down do not have an outside window, only into the walkway and are noisy, when Karaoke and Life Disco happens. But we were in the 4.th floor, what was completely silant and with a window outside. I unfortunetally forgot a parcel at the hotel entrance, but the guys at the reception sent it per Taxi to the airport, right before I had to enter the gates.Steffen Baldauf

The location is not the greatest and it is quite a bit away from the airport. between 7-8 OMRby taxi. If you have to go back to the airport suggest take a taxi not the offered shuttle.The staff is very friendly and helpful. Clean
