Carlton Hotel London    

when I arrived my room wasn't ready. Once I was able to go in my room it smelt of smoke. The bed was really uncomfortable and the springs dug in me. However, the breakfast was really good. It was also very close to the station and tube which was handy

Good location Hotel : near King's Cross poor bathroom : the shower water flowed very slowly without pressure.small double bed : for a couple the bed is very narrowThe window let to pass the air and noises

Better organise breakfast, i.e. insufficient space, multiple entry/exit so you end up sitting on the stairs to see if space is freed up. Breakfast as such was ok. Night table had to moved to open wardrobe. No hat rack in room.

The hotel has an excellent location, although at night it is a bit too loud ( I have used earplugs). The cleanliness could be better as well as there could be a wider variety of breakfast food that would not have to run out all the time. But the staff was nice and the location has balanced out everything else.

Great location, reasonable price, clean hotel and friendly staff. However, I had an extremely small room, which got very hot during the day and did not cool down during the night (couldn't open windows, no fan or air conditioner) and since it faced a main street was very noisy. Breakfast was included but was limited to ham, bacon and eggs.In short, hotel is recommendable for the thrifty traveler who does not expect a lot of comfort.

This hotel gave excellent value for money. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and the hot breakfast was a good start to the day. Rooms are very small but we stayed in their accommodation a few doors up from main hotel and this was quiet and fairly new. No phones at all in the hotel so a mobile is helpful. It is located directly opposite kings cross station so extremely convenient especially when taking luggage. Also brilliant if using the Eurostar.they were also kind enough to hold our luggage while we went to Paris for 4days. No complaints whatsoever. Thank you Carlton Hotel

We were looking for a hotel close to a tran station and tube station for our vists/stay in london and spotted the Carlton. After a quick read of it's reviews and looking at it in comparison to other local hotels we optend for it. I couldnt believe the price difference of the likes of premier inn/travel lodge which were, more expensive and to be honest offered the same level of service/comfort in my opinion as the Carlton.We didnt exepct much, but were suprised with our stay overall. Although the room was a bit on the small side it was andequate for both of us and cmofy. The addition of breakfast in the price was excellent, although some may grumble that there was just your normal fried breakfast tea/coffee/ornage juice and some cornflakes, which were on offer. This was good enough to set us up for a day out on our feet.Overall our stay was a good one and for the price that we paid we would recomend it to others.

I wanted to stay near St Pancras Station and selected this one based on low price and convenience. It has those, but the area is heavily trafficked, so noisy and trashy.

This hotel is located just a few minutes' walk from the two big railway stations in London, Kings' Cross and St. Pancras, just an opposite of the KIngs' Cross station, so it might be convenient for those who travel by trains a lot. However, I'd say I was not satisfited with its room facilities. I stayed for a few days in different rooms but none of them were satisfying. The TV reception was bad, one room had broken towel rack in the bathroom, another's light in the bathroom is out of order and the other room was too small to unpack a suitcase. In addition, it was rather noisy outside, particularly during the night time, with police sirens. Staffs were OK but it might not be a good place to take a rest during a trip.

Cons: Website deceptive of true appearance of hotel room and facilities, unclear, rundown hotel

Pros: Close to public transport.
Cons: Old hotel with outdated facilities. the lift is not to be trusted.

Pros: The location of the hotel is less the 100 yards from the kings cross railroad station. the breakfast was pretty good.
Cons: The bed was too small for two adults. the shower needed to be retiled if not cleaned thouroughly. no shampoo and an extremely small tv.

Cons: Shower in our room was terrible and we can hear people walking in room on top of us all night.

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable altho8gh the bathroom and shower is slightly cramped although to be fair i am a quite large sized person.
Cons: Not a biggie but the wiffi signal is pretty weak could probably do with adding to their access points and it would have been nice to get at least freeview over the analogue channels.
