Palmerstown Lodge Dublin    

Perfect place to stay a weekend in Dublin for cheap. Staff very courteous and helpful. Not too far from city center, easy to approach it by bus. Small rooms,suitable for a short stay. Fairly good breakfast.

The room was okay a bit cold. All the staff seemed friendly. The only problem was there was bugs on the bathroom floor when we arrived!

The room was small and dark. Not very clean.Parking was small but we had a place. Internet good.Pub/restaurant in the street.

Have just stayed at Palmerstown Lodge for the weekend. Excellent location for both getting into the city and out into the country. Good value for money and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend a late night visit after leaving the pub to the chip shop in the village for the best chips I've ever had and a late night sing-song was even thrown in. Also enjoyed an enjoyable evening @ Johnny Fox's up in the mountains.

Pros: The young gentleman who booked me in when i arrived was extremely helpful and rearranged some other guests vehicles so that i could get my car parked safely.
Cons: There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room so after travelling for 4 hours i went to bed without even so much as a glass of water. when i went down for breakfast at 8.00am there were no staff around to serve.

Cons: I don't really know where to start, on arrival we were given our card key and went off up to our room. the room was extremely dirty, the bed cover was ripped in several places, most lights and the tv did not work. we were moved to another room, this room was slightly better and due to how late it was we accepted this. this room had damp in the ceiling, again ripped bed covers and was quite dirty. upon going into the bathroom we also see that the shower door was missing altogether, obviously everytime we showered it completely flooded the bathroom. the lighting in the room was very poor and we needed both bedside lamps to try to make up for this. when we went out the next day and returned we found that one of the bedside lamps was missing and the other was not working. we asked for replacements and asked why this was, we had one replaced but not the other. basically everything about the hotel and the stay was awful, the staff were polite but otherwise terrible. i would definately not recomend this hotel to anyone at all and i would appreciate some feedback or better still a partial refund.

Pros: Very convenient, welcoming, comfortable.
Cons: Doors banging into the night (friday, when lots of people came to stay)
