The Best Hotel Milano  

i just stayed there to sleep few hours from 6 am till 11 am - and everything were perfect - they waited for me at night and then just gave me the key from beatiful room, where i did all i need then...

First of all,my friends and us all 2 couples were visiting Milan and a friend for the first time and we were robbed by 2 hugh guys impersonating as Italian Narcotics Detectives just about 50 meters from Best Hotel. The side walk or lane to Best Hotel was dark and we couldn`t differenciate between real & fake officers,asking us to show our passports and money which I realised was a little odd when one of them was more interested in my friend`s bag with plenty cash of € only when they finally let us go back to Best Hotel that my friend realised his bundle of cash were short off a few notes of 100€ bills. I got a GPS on one hand being outnumbered I dare not risk a fight with our wives with us. Best Hotel is situated in a bad area I presumed so be careful if one stays there as a family or couple. For males only should be alright as they operated as such that one would ask for the way,2 impersonating as officers and one waiting in a car nearby. We make a police report the next day and found out how the police id looks like and most Italian police don`t speak so good English and those who robbed us were not Italians probably. Overall the personals were helpful to help us with the police reports and they apologised for what had happened

One thing I didn`t like was our double bed, which had two mattresses instead of one big. It was not comfortable. Staff was very nice.Breakfast very simple, but I can`t complain. It was good enough, but another time I would look for a cheaper hotel :} no offence :)

we needed last minute accoms in Milano when we missed our connection there. best hotel was not only the cheapest one near the main stn but was also well rated. It didn't disappoint - excellent front desk, great room! Very comfortable beds, clean, quiet even right on the street. Wireless internet is very expensive, that is the only minus in our books.Nice courtyard in the back, very good breakfast. We had to leave very early and they helped us pack a breakfast to go. Highly recommend!

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. the room was excellent value for money and in an excellent location.

Pros: The hotel staff were friendly and gave us a good recommendation on a great place to eat.

Pros: Friendly staff who can speak many languages
Cons: Bedroom & bathroom a little tired - could do with refurbishment

Pros: Clean room, simple but filling breakfast, maps available, quiet in rooms, pretty close to main sites. 20 mins walk maximum.
Cons: Aircon was just a fan in the roof that sounded like it was going to come off. needed help from night time staff at one point and had difficulty communicating the issue. was told the staff member couldn't leave reception, but no other offer for help. can't expect much more from a 2 star hotel i guess.

Pros: - the staff was kind and helpful.
- location was ok.
- the inner yard was nice.
Cons: - the standard of our rooms was very poor
- the breakfast was very poor

Pros: Location to central station was excellent and easy access to the metro. reception staff were friendly and very efficent. rooms were clean and good value for money
Cons: The only negative i have is the breakfast why with every other shop selling fresh pastries does the hotel deem it ok to give you a pre packed croissant for breakfast. if you need to charge a bit extra to provide a decent breakfast do so. it is advertised as a bed and breakfast don't let the breakfast part let you down because most people check out straight after breakfast so that is their last impression

Pros: The best hotel is a tipical european hotel with small rooms. location is very good only 5-7 minutes from milane centrale. staff is warm and helpfull.
Cons: Rooms are very small and dark. toilets are located almost in the room that is not convenient.

Pros: The location, close to downtown (although the surroundings did not seem so good)
Cons: The cleanliness was awful. my son kept sneezing the whole first night. next morning, we asked to have the room cleaned with a wet cloth, to make sure the dust would be removed. the clerk (in the frontdesk) said ok, until we asked to have the heater cleaned too (completely dirty and full of dust): he answered that "it would not be possible" (and it is not that difficult to do - just need a good will).

Pros: Centrally located.
Cons: Very dated. poor quality beds and bedding. extremely cramped.

Pros: The staff was very helpful. the room was very comfortable. breakfast was a welcome addition to my stay. keep in mind that you will have to pay for internet use, but the wifi system operated from the rooms.

Pros: The best hotel provided a very nice breakfast, and there is a lovely outdoor garden area with seating available.

Pros: Cheap accommodation, but you get what you paid for.
Cons: Rooms very small. air conditioning advertised but only available during july/aug??
