"d`AMSTERDAM.....d` GOOD !!"

for the money it was exceptionally good value, clean and cosy with the staff very pleasant and helpful, peaceful location that was in striking distance of most attractions and would definately stay there again

"Amsterdam weekend!"

On arriving at the hotel we met Dannis who was extremely helpful with maps of the city, which trams to take from A to B and any other questions that we had.Our room was large with a balcony, we were also in a quiet location just across from one of the canals and found this ideal to walk from place to place or to access trams at either end of the road where the hotel was.We would both stay there again!

"Lovely welcoming hotel"

Stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend. I am used to staying in 4 star hotels so I did not have high hopes, but I was very pleasantly suprised with this little gem! Although the rooms are slightly on the small side, they were very clean and nicely decorated. The location is ideal - only a 10 minute wall from clubs and bars but also close to the museum district and Vondelpark. The couple that run the hotel were helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was also nice - not a huge selection but it was all very fresh with delicious homemade muffins that were still warm! I would definitely stay again!

"It exceeded our expectations"

You cannot expect more for cleanliness of the rooms. Our room was quite spacious. The location is excellent. We had a very pleasant stay.

Fairly basic hotel with very helpful and friendly staff and good breakfast; easy access to trams, Museums and Leidseplein for cafes etc. Very creaky floors in room above but otherwise quite good vfm for Amsterdam - would stay here again.

"perfect"

I tevelled with 1 other freind and stayed in the deluxe twin room .. Was spacious god storage clean rooms beds bathroom ect .. Very freindly staff helped with any of our needs good location quiet but 5 mins walk away from our hotel was the bulldog coffe shop and a few others wich was our main thing lol ... Breakfast is good plus a bonus when we arrived we were told we could smoke of the balcony aslong as the door was kept shut ... All in all prefect and will be stayin again in next couple months...

"Excellent location"

Pros: Excellent location. the inner city (especially the museum-quarter) is in a walking distance, but it's far enough not to hear the nightlife of amsterdam. the rooms are modern, clean, and well equipped. it's quite good value for money for tourists.
Cons: Our room was really-really small with a tiny bathroom, i don't recommend it to claustrophobic people. maybe the other rooms are bigger... wifi was practically non-usable in the room.

Cons: Vertical hot water pipes exposed in the room causing over heating and discomfort if contact was made (as they were very close to the bed). should be insulated or covered.

Pros: I was extremely pleased with my stay at hotel d'amsterdam. my room (deluxe double) was spacious, very comfortable, spotlessly clean. there was a mini fridge and flat screen tv and a spacious seperate ensuite. the breakfast was pleasant. and dannis and linda who manage the hotel were friendly, accommodating and so helpful! the location was within 20 minues leisurely walk to dam square and only a minute walk to leidesplein where there are lots of great restaurants. i would definitely stay here again.
Cons: There was nothing negative about my stay.

Pros: The staff is very friendly, the rooms were quite ok, and the breakfast buffet was, despite of the few guests in the hotel, also comparable to much larger and more expensive hotels. the location was very quiet.
Cons: The staircase is indeed very steep, but as long as there is an elevator, there is nothing to worry about.

Pros: Staff were friendly and very helpful. good value for money compared to other hotels. changed our room to have a balcony so we could smoke.
Cons: Maintenance needs to be carried out on the room we stayed in. light fitting falling off, carpets grubby. needs to be cleaned everywhere and not only the parts you can see.
