The Bridge Hotel Amsterdam    

Wonderful find!! So glad we found The Bridge Hotel! Location and friendliness of staff is superb. We loved our room, with a view of the canal. We walked to everything, The Hermitage, The Rijk, Anne Frank House, and bothe Music Halls. We will be back!!

We chose this hotel for the location and the good comments we read on TripAdvisor.But we were disappointed with this hotel: - we couldn't appreciate the landscape from the room - the room wasn't cleaned before we arrived and during our stay (dust everywhere!!) - small room - no elevatorHowever, the service and the breakfast were enjoyable

We both had a fantastic stay in the Bridge Hotel, the best we have stayed in to date in Amsterdam. We will be returning to this hotel again as it offered efficient, friendly customer service, a clean and well prepaired spacious room (room 211) with a great breakfast

The Bridge Hotel is a Great Place to Stay this was our second time to stay at this hotel we love the friendly staff and the great location we have stayed in a few different hotels in Amsterdam but this is our favorite place to stay. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is excellent looking forward to going back next year. J&K

We stayed at the Bridge Hotel while supporting our son in the Amsterdam marathon. Excellent location to explore the city and "a real find" - within eay walking distance of so many attractions and such helpful staff. Vetr highly recommended.

I was disappointed with the room we were given. The walls were so thin we could hear the couple and their baby next door. We were offered another room, but they didn't seem any better and were smaller or darker and faced an interior very small courtyard. The hotel did speak to the couple next door and asked them to be quieter, but even so we bought some earplugs. The location of the hotel couldn't be better, but the rooms were over priced for what was offered..

We chose The Bridge Hotel mainly for its location and fair room rate knowing that Amsterdam is notorious for expensive hotels,We found the staff not only friendly but also helpful(I would rate it as 10).Our room was on the top floor and since the hotel has NO Elevator a helping hand from the staff was indeed much appreciated.

l could not fault this hotel we came in a groupe of 10 the 4 bedroom suite was excellent for the guys. would stay again.

Hotel was everything i expected. Great location with easy access to tram, bus and metro stations. Hotel staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Rooms small but clean and adequate for a weekend break. Breakfast was plentiful - grea selection which was continually being replenished. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others

Very clean and quiet, situated in a lovely part of Amsterdam. We were made to feel welcome and would go back again.

I chose the Bridge Hotel for the following reasons: its outside the heaving city centre but only a few minutes away on excellent public transport, its quiet and our room had a great view of the Amstel and the Magere Brug. The hotel is a few minutes away from Utrechtsestraat with a good range of restaurants. The room was spacious, breakfast was a brilliant buffet and the staff very helpful. Highly recommended

The Bridge Hotel is a lovely hotel overlooking a canal and the Amstel River. Breakfast is included in the rate and is of a very high quality with many choices. Our room had two very large windows overlooking the canal. It was adequate in size with a modern bathroom with shower. One drawback was there was little place for clothes, although two lockers were provided with a few hangers. Be prepared as there is no elevator and a lot of stairs, depending on your room location. The location was very good, within walking distance to many sights. It is also between two metro and tram stops which is convenient to getting around. There are very good restaurants right over the bridge and a bike rental shop around the corner. The front desk staff is very accommodating and eager to help. From Central Station I might recommend a taxi rather than the tram, as with luggage it is a bit of a walk. I definitely would recommend this hotel.

I would choose this hotel any time again. The room with skylight was comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

Hotel is in a great location - peaceful, right on the Amstel, picturesque area, but only a short 5-10 minute walk from the nearest Metro or Tram stops. Room 225 was modern, large with very comfortable beds overlooking the canal that ran perpendicular to the Amstel, through large picture windows. Very large walk in shower room. Staff very friendly and most helpful. Breakfast served in large bright room downstairs (albeit a little warm). Good range of cold meats, cheeses, cereals & breads/rolls, jams etc plus good range of tea/coffee/juices although no hot/cooked foods other than warm soft boiled eggs which were great cut up on toast and tasty ham. More than enough choice to keep you going. Very happy with our choice of Hotel and its location. Perhaps a little pricy at €180 per night but certainly not out of kilter with other Amsterdam hotels and would happily return/recommend to anyone. Amsterdam is a great place to explore. Buy a 24/48/72 hour travel pass for all Metro/Tram/buses at Iamamsterdam info centre opposite Amsterdam Centraal and use it to your hearts content or your feet drop off! Worth also buying a dated/timed Anne Franks House ticket here also as you'll jump the long queues and enter by a different entrance to go straight in at your allotted time.

From the moment we arrived 1st June 2012 until the day of our departure 4th June 2012 all the staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful, particularly the hotel reception staff. The location's fantastic, a quiet, but accessible spot, with great views out over the Skinny Bridge and Amstel river. The beds were super comfy. We stayed in the Amstel Light Apartment and would recommend this for a family, or group of friends, because of the comfort of your own lounge, kitchen facilities etc. All that stops me marking cleanliness and rooms a 5 is we did need to dust some of the surfaces in the bedroom, which seemed to have been overlooked and I would have liked to see a dressing table area in one of the rooms with a mirror, plus large mugs, not just small espresso size. We had a great stay at the Bridge hotel which was close to Rembrantsplein and other great areas. The staff was great the rooms were much roomier than I expected. There are a few good restaurants frequented by the locals a few blocks south on Amstel Street and we really enjoyed Bar Lempicka which was a stones throw away.I would definitely stay here again.

Was a bit more than I usually pay but was in an excellent location. Room adequate and friendly and helpful staff. Would stay there again.

We have stayed at the Bridge Hotel during the Easter Break. It was very enjoyable and the room was absolutely faboulus. The location is great. The coffee maker in the room makes a big difference ( for coffee lover that is). Staff was friendly and helpful. One piece of advice watch for those Amsterdam cyclists they have no pity for pedestrians.

Our stay at the Bridge Hotel was great. The location was near some things we wanted to see, but a bit of a walk to others. Old Amsterdam is a relatively small city, so this was not too bad for us. Our room was very clean, bed super comfortable. If you can, book a canal view room; I'll bet the views are spectacular. The provided breakfast was very good, a great selection of many types of things to eat and drink. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in a nice quiet area but close enough to walk to main attractions. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was clean and modern. Would recommend.
