"Short Break"

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room was supposed to be a double but was in fact a single room with a double bed and very cramped for 2 people, the bed was against one wall so one of us had to climb over the other if you needed to get up during the night..which was frequently the case as the window was broken and would not close properly so was repeatedly blown open during the night making an almighty noise, the hotel is on the corner of a very busy junction the street noise was very loud and constant most of the night, we resorted to sleeping with the window open as after a long days sight seeing we had a better chance of sleep if we were not disturbed by the window being blown open. The decor of the room was also poor for a 4 star hotel wallpaper peeling at the corners etc, although clean enough the room service did not replenish toileteries or coffee etc..as it was a short stay we were travelling light and were reliant on these things and would expect them from a 4 star hotel. We were given 2 sachets of coffee and had to ring anytime we required more, we eventually bought a small jar. In retrospect I wish we had requested a change of room, but as it was only a short break and we were out and about most of the time we decided not to..however the hotel was the only disppointment on an otherwise great trip to Barcelona.

"Great Hotel"

Very spacious bedroom, another friend joined us for one night and the extra bed fitted in easily. Extremely helpful staff on reception. Could not fault the cleanliness of the hotel.Situated on a busy road but within easy walk of the cathedral but a taxi ride or sightseeing bus journey to Las Ramblas.

"Good but can be improved."

My friend and I stayed three nights. We have requested a double room, however no one advised us that double rooms are Much smaller than twin rooms. Nothing close to 19 square meters advertised on the website. The room itself required a bit of TLC in terms of wallpaper and paint but bathroom was much better quality. The power shower was difficult to use with only small glass shield on the side, first time we had water all over the bathroom floor. Location is very good in our opinion, close to Sagrada familia and some other sites, close to Gran via. Although the room was small, the bed was comfortable and we had a good sleep. Breakfast was a bit limited but good quality food and is good value for the price charged. Overall we would recommend it but choose a twin room as it is much bigger and has two, what are effectivly double beds.

"The room was very clean"

Pros: The room was very clean. comfortable internet acces. although not in the heart of the rambles, the location was very convenient and easy to get to and from.
Cons: We've go a two bed room which was not comfortable.
the shower is very small for 6' man and the stream and temperature adjustment was not very good

"The location is really great- very easy to get around"

Pros: The location is really great- very easy to get around. (but so many hotels in the city are)
Cons: We have had weekend trips to barcelona many times, and this hotel was our worst experience. very noisy, as the floors are not carpeted, and the walls appear to be made of paper mache.
there is nothing terrible about it, but the fact that there are so many nicer hotels in the same price range, we will not be coming back to eurostars

"Small, modern and friendly hotel"

Pros: Small, modern and friendly hotel. very helpful staff in the reception. they speak good english and were always nice and friendly. good location near sagrada familia.
Cons: Some noise from the streets outside, but no problem to have windows closed with a godod functioning ari-condition.
the hotel is located not far away from sagrada familia, but some distance to the town centre. that was no problem for us; the metro station monumental is real close and a taxi is not expensive.

Pros: The lady on reception was very helpful and we were given a plan of the city and explainations as to where we were etc. we could see the towers of the sagrada familia from our hotel room and it was only a 5-10 minute walk away.
our room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable and the sheets soft and smooth.
the metro/underground was very close so it made it easy to get around. we purchased 2-day metro passes for just over 10 euro each which we thought was very reasonable.
Cons: Wireless internet did not work despite us asking for help from reception.
although they have hydro showers, they do not have the proper shower enclosures so if you use the hydro selection on the shower the bathroom gets soaked!

Pros: Great location, clean hotel and rooms, great value for the money.
Cons: Internet did not work either in room or in the lobby for entire stay. hotel staff did not take any action to even make an impression that they cared about getting it fixed.

Pros: It is a really nice small hotel in the center of barcelona. the metro is just outside the door, which makes it really easy to travel. the staff is great and they all speak good english. i recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to go to barcelona.

Pros: Staff was most helpful and all requests were handled efficiently. breakfast room was bright and cheery and food was presented in the cleanest atmosphere. isabel was constantly cleaning and arranging food bar and tables. she is a "gem". rooms were clean and modern. baths were large and full of emenities except for tissues. we had a view of
the familia and could not close our drapes from the impressive view. for a modest priced hotel, our money doubled in value.
Cons: As an american, i missed the "ice machines" on each floor. calling for ice was a hassle.
