Hotel Aneto Barcelona

Correctly rated in my view as a 1 star hotel offering good value for money. It is well situated for exploring the Las Ramblas area and visiting the local restaurants. Reception staff speak a little English and are helpful. Rooms are small, and I have seen some complaints, but I have had worse and this is a 1 star place after all!! By far the worst aspect for us was the noise, both external and internal. Walls are thin and the inebriated revellers stop shouting outside about 2 or 3 am (every morning of the 3 days we were there) and some guests return noisily to their rooms at this time). Hard to get any sleep, but perhaps we should have spent a LOT more and stayed in an upmarket hotel away from the area?

Highly recommended for city-loving non-snobs.Leave your passport and valuables in the hotel! We were robbed in a nearby café.

I was just looking for a room for the night as I was on a whistle stop visit to attend a concert.The hotel was ideally located just off La Rambla.The room was small and next to the lift shaft, but it dod not really affect things and was clean and nice enough. The communal bathroom was just across the corridor and was clear and functional, but there could have been problems with no lock on the door and if several people needed to go at once there would be issues as well. Overall not the kind of place to stay if you are on a long stay but for a short break where you just want a place to sleep, it is well worth a go

A brilliant location very close to las rambles and the metro station is a few minutes away.Room was spacious for 3 people and clean. well worth a return trip.

Nice place, rooms are not too big, but beds are fine.Really close to city main street - La Rambla. Sometimes nights are noisy (when you open window) - but this is Espana! Sleep at day, live by night

Sorry for my bad english... The hotel is in the center of Barcelone, just near the Ramblas. The room is very clean . The personnel is very nice.. If I come back to Barcelone, I 'll come back to this hotel.

Hotel Aneto was perfect for what I was looking for; a single room in a perfect location at a cheap price. Very clean and convenient even if the decoration is old fashion.

Very central located one-star hotel at C/Carme - in the old town of Barcelona near Las Ramblas. Small Dia discounter just 2 min. and big Carrefour supermarket just 5 min. away. Located between Metro stations Catalunya (central place in the city) and Liceau on Las Ramblas..Small hotel over 2 floors in an old house with single and double rooms. 24 hours reception - in the night closed house with a bell for security. Friendly service understanding English as you need. Modern floors with full stuffed rooms incl. air condition, tv and telephone.Very clean rooms and bathrooms - daily cleaning service till the afternoon - practible to begin the day later. The single rooms has their personell bathrooms outside the sleeping room with an extra key - no problem at all. No breakfast or restaurant in the house.

The location is ok, rooms too small, but ok, even do the frist floor is not that clean, to rooms where very good, and even there is a lot of noise on the street, you can have a nice quality sleep.

A friend and I used this hotel for a short city break. First impressions were guarded given the very basic nature of the hotel. However, we soon realised we'd booked into a spotlessly clean hotel in a perfect central location. Although the rooms were really basic, they were perfect for a city break, no fuss or frills but all that was needed. We booked a room with private bathroom, not sure we would have liked the communual option! Would stay here again. Probably not for families or those wanting a romantic break though.

Excellent for the budget traveller. Receptionists were efficient and helpful.The room was clean and as I expected for the price paid. However the chief selling point for this hotel is the location, a minutes walk from the Ramblas. The actual street on which the hotel is located seemed on the nights I stayed (midweek May) to be fairly quite which meant that I had no problems with noise.

Have stayed here twice service is exceptional,i even emailed before my arrival to ask for a room to the front of building and they duly obliged........ location is perfect for las ramblas and to Catalunya or Liceu underground.Place Reial is nearby ang great for evening drinks. Hotel is very clean was very impressed with cleanliness on both times i stayed here.Shame they did away with little cakes and free vending machine in mornings but spain is in a recession and little things have to go.........Otherwise a perfect time had by all

Hotel Aneto is a small hotel close to the Rambla that met our expectations well. Don't expect services like pool, valetparking or welnessfacilities. It's just for a good sleep and a good bathroom inbetween visiting the city's sights. Reception around the clock so you can come in at every time you want. Rooms get cleaned every day. The hotelroom was clean, this was very importent for us. The hotel was open for 24 ours, this was very nicethe lockation was perfect!!!!

A small well presented Hotel adequate for a 1 or 2 night stay although rooms are basic they are very clean and well kept. The hotel is in an excellent location just off the las ramblas for easy access to docks for cruises, or for any other part of the city. Would I stay here again? Yes.

I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in barcelona. The price is ok and the rooms are ok too. The staff is nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Yet we can hear everything of what is happening in the adjacent rooms.

Overall we were happy with the room. Enough towels, good cleaning, and a good airco. But if there are any guests who make noise you can hear them clearly.

We arrived to Barcelona wet and tired, and wanted to deposit our luggage at the front desk first since we were hours away from the stated check-in time. To our surprise, we were informed that our room was made ready and we could enter it earlier. That made it really convenient for us as we could wait in the room till the rain got to a slow drizzle. The room was spacious and well furnished with a toilet (somehow we were mistaken with regard to the term 'shared toilet' and didn't expect one in the room). The beds were comfortable as well, and the tv was pretty new too. Housekeeping would come everyday to clean the room and make the beds, a surprise to us as we don't expect the service given the amount paid. The location of the hotel was amazing - a really short walk to Barcelona's most famous market, La Rambla. We actually went there almost every night to have juice/fruit/snacks due to the proximity and convenience!There were some drawbacks however .. Firstly the lift was rather small, making it difficult for a group of 4 lugging luggage to move up and down with all our stuff, we had to make an additional trip to allow for that. Also, the wifi was pretty bad - cutting off and coming back on again. The reception was best at the ground floor, but given that we were situated on the fifth floor... Something to note - the hotel has a policy of keeping your room key when you go out! Interesting.. Never encountered this elsewhere!
