"Madrid and stay @ Vincci Soho"

Madrid is awesome and we where specially supprised by this fine Hotel.The owner seems to be friends with Javier Bardem and we spotted him when he was doing a photo shoot at the hotel! :-DBesides that, awesome hotel, everything looks very luxurious and the service is excellent.Rooms also great and all in all, we would recommend this Hotel to anyone!

"Very pretty, but with some flaws"

My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon, and we were initially very impressed with the modern, sleek decor that we were greeted with. We spent 3 nights in a standard room and one night in a superior room. They don't call it superior for nothin'. My first issue is that there is no wifi. Period. You can connect to the internet with a laptop through the television for a charge of 12 euro/day. Kind of shocking in this day and age. The standard room was clean and roomy, but it was overly warm despite it being cool outside - we actually had to sleep with the window open. I'm convinced the thermostat control in the room was just for show - it didn't seem to have any effect on the actual temp in the room. And the shower control was also wildly unpredictable - nudge it a millimeter to the left or right and the shower turned blazing hot or freezing cold. The interesting thing is that when we moved to the superior room (just 15 euro/night more), there were no issues with the thermostat and shower temp control. I'm usually of the mindset that these basic things should be standard across the hotel and that you shouldn't have to pay extra to not burn your skin off in the shower. But that's just me. But overall, it was centrally located midway between Puerta del Sol and the Atocha train station, close to lots of great restaurants and bars, and within easy walking distance to the Prado and other museums. Just do yourself a favor and book the superior room. Trust me.

Pros: The location of the hotel could not be better it is in the centre of the old part of madrid and during our stay we did not need to use public transport or taxis to get to any of the places of interest.
Cons: There was no kettle in the room.

"We were extremely pleased with the whole experience"

Pros: We were extremely pleased with the whole experience. the position of the madrid hotel was perfect for a city break. the staff were all helpful and the quality and price of food offered in the prado 18 bar was excellent.
nothing negative to say!
Cons: Just possibly that for almost 500 pounds [incl tax] for four nights an inclusive continental breakfast would have been appreciated. by that i mean literaly a coffee and a piece of toast. the full breakfast provided was excellent, but another 40 pounds a day for two of us to have breakfast was excessive if all you want is a simple breakfast. no problem though, as we got breakfast in a nearby cafe open for breakfast!

"Booked two rooms - one twin and one double"

Pros: Booked two rooms - one twin and one double. the twin was much bigger - 50% bigger. nice clean rooms and good location by art museums
Cons: Double room was very small, and only one working outlet. no desk to work on, and hard to charge electronics as power goes out when you leave room or turn lights off in the room. bad reading lights over the bed.

"Hotel location as great"

Pros: Hotel location as great. hotel room was good, clean and well appointed.
Cons: Front desk stff a bit aloof, but helpful if you ask and push for information. once they feel comfortable with you they become warmer and more attentive

"Good hotel"

Pros: Good hotel. close to puerta del sol which is a great place in the city center. the room was good and the breakfast awesome!
Cons: I had a problem with the air conditioning and no one fixed.
the worst part was the guy saying "oh...that's normal..."! anyway, not perfect but good enough!

Pros: Location was excellent. near railroad station, though construction is going on along the route to the hotel.
Cons: We asked for twin beds, but was told on arrival that they didn't have any available.

Pros: It was in a great location. santa ana plaza had a great vibe and young crowd but with the class of locals. the hotel was very urban and trendy. staff helped with our initial reservation.
