Germany is a perfect place to learn about the history of the country of Germany and all of its cities. As it is expected in the great country of Germany there are a numerous concentration camps located throughout many of the cities. All of the camps have very thoughtful and informative memorials and museums dedicated to those who lost their lives in these awful places. The city of Hamburg is the location of the Gedenkstätte Neuengamme Concentration Camp, which is located in the suburb of this great city.
The Gedenkstätte Neuengamme is indeed the location of the memorial of the some 50,000 people from Hamburg who lost their lives at this camp from the years of its operation which were 1939-1945. This loving memorial was opened to the public in the year 1981 and it includes a complete of all who died and suffered along with stories and photographs explaining the things that occurred there.
