There is more to the heart of Germany than Berlin. While Berlin continues to amaze visitors to the area, many find it more convenient to stay in Berlin Metropolitan Area. This allows them to wander in and beyond the city with its Brandenburg Gate, the remains of the Berlin Wall and various museums. Stay a week or a weekend. The Berlin Metropolitan Area has the Charlottenburg Palace, a Baroque Hohenzollern palace on the edge of Berlin or the palaces of nearby Pottsdam, particularly Sanssouci Palace with its grand grounds or Frederick’s New Palace. The Sachsenhausen Concentration camp is another possible day trip in the area.
