 "liked only location"
We were staying 2 nights in that hostel. I would recommend it only for those who'd like to live near the city centre, cause it's located in the heart of Amsterdam. Room for 4 people was too little and the stairs were very dangerous. And that's it. Nothing special.

 "a cheap sleep"
definitely do take your own slippers, since the rooms seem not to be cleaned for a while. but if you want to stay in the centre of Amsterdam and are willing to compromise, this is the place to be. quite quiet, considering the location and the sort of guests you will encounter there.

"Only good point: the location. But nothing else. Only as a last resort!!!"
+Well located (in the center)-1. Hotel/Room dirty (4 days: they never cleaned the room)3. They charged me more than I was supposed to pay4. Walls thin (didn't sleep the first night)5. No lift, so it was really hard to reach the room6. Bad service: simply don't talk to the personal, except to check in or check out. Conclusion: don't go there!!! Really expensive for a really bad hotel (I went to really old B&B in small towns by the past, half the price or less, and it was much better...)

 "Brilliant Location"
Stayed here for three nights in march.... stayed here before so i would recommend this hotel again away. The location couldn't be better and the staff were nice enough, slight down fall were the showers being hot and cold but for the price we paid, we were more than happy.

 "Travel Hotel - March 2013"
For the price we paid, this hotel ticks all the boxes. As a regular traveller to Amsterdam, i would certainly consider this hotel for my next trip.I stayed in a double with private facilities. This was located on the 5th floor, which has a total of 77 very steep stairs to get to and there is no lift, so its not for the fainthearted! We arrived at the hotel at 10:15 and were able to check in straight away, which was a bonus. The room itself is fairly small, but as it is litetally a place to lay your head and bathe, this didnt pose a problem. The bathroom is just a shower and toilet, again, fine for what you need it for, with the sink located in the main room. There is also a desk, chair and wardrobe. The beds are very comfortable, and the staff were very accomodating in giving me an extra pillow. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the only thing i would say is there is no luggage stirage for when you check out, but we just left our cases at the baggage storage at centraal station which cost 5euro for the day.The location of the hotel is perfect. Right in the middle if all the action, our room overlooked the warmeostraat, which is the main stretch of coffeshops etc, but we were not disturbed by any street noise. The nearest coffeeshop is next door, Dam square 2mins, red light district 2min walk and 5min walk to centraal station. The Kalverstraat shopping area is 5min away. Overall, a great little hotel right in the middle of everything. I will almost certainly return, and iI will look forward to it!

 "1 night stay in Amsterdam"
Brilliant location, the room was tiny with 4 beds in. The shower was good. They wouldn't keep our bags at the reception the day we checked out, so we had to wheel them round all day. Would stay here again because of the location, had a good weekend :)

 "Very good location"
This hotel is in a good location. Theres a bar downstairs where you can get toasties, and there's a coffeeshop only one door away. The hotel is lovely and warm, almost too warm! The rooms are big, with working tv's, but the view out our window was the neighbours roof. ha. On the last night there was a rat/mouse in the room, but that happened in the other hotel we stayed in last time too... Amsterdam is old i suppose.

"Been Several Times, Just what we need!!"
ive been to Dam 8 times, mostly in this hotel, its cheap friendly and close to everything. If you are a group of lads or just couples who need a bed this hotel is great, if you expect alot more from a hotel then try somewhere else, the bar area is good and its more relaxed bringing friends back to chill out!!

 "Friends"
Good location but the when we tried to get Internet access the lady at the front desk wasn't helpful ignored us for at least 10 mins in the end we give up, not happy with the service!! The other problem we had was that in our room 3004 there was a mouse in the room, 6 foot away from the lockers in the room is a mouse hole that has been chewed that is where it is getting through! Other than these problems we had a very good time!!

"Travel Hotel and Easytobook stole my money"
Because of an error in Easytobook's booking system I got charged for one night for this hotel where I never had any booking made on my behalf. I never received any e-mail confirmation either. Travel Hotel still refuses to refund me, although I have never had any business with them, I stayed at entirely different hotel. They just happily charged my credit card and took the money. Easytobook also refuses to co-operate and blames me for all the happened, because there can't be an error in their fancy booking systems.I will never use Easytobook again. They had nerve to send me this review form, so now I had a chance to let the world know of this. I will also recommend everybody to avoid this shady Travel Hotel like the plague!

 "Good"
We were here for a weekend, location was excellent round the corner from everything we needed. When booking we got told it was a shared bathroom but on arrival we had our own which made such a difference. The young girl that worked here was Great and happy to help, The most annoying thing was the bells going off outside that woke us up ad with the hang overs we had this did annoy us, but this was not the hotels fault. I would stay here again in fact we have already been looking at booking for new year.

"You get what you pay for here."
Basically what i said on the title, its a bit dirty with stained blankets and foot prints on the ceiling, the location is excellent so it makes up for the dirtiness and the other issuesfor me. If your going to pay a cheap price you get this, there was lots happening outside so noise was am issue but not for is as we didnt spend much time in the hotel anyway. They give you one small room. And a tiny bathroom which makes it quite chlostrophobic with a tv that doesnt work.

 "Norm"
Hotel for students. Good location - 10 mins from Central Station. Bell ring every morning. Little room. But i think it's normal for 100 eur per night for room with double bed.

"OMG!! SLUM!! DONT DO iT !!"
We booked a room for 4 although there were only 2 of us, we thought plenty room, think again, how they would expect 4 in that room is beyond me, 2 of us struggled to fit, there was no toilet roll, no towels, extremely noisy and the asian guy behind the counter was not in the least bit attentitive on the nightshit, 24hr bar but hes sitting through the front and taking the huff when you ask for a drink cause its interrupting his internet surfing.NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I GO BUDGET ANYWHERE !!

 "Extortionate for what you get"
2 bunk beds stuffed into a room designed for 1 single bed - I know this because I stayed here before and the receptionist admitted it. This cost 260 Euros for 2 nights, that's about £120 per night. You can get 4* or even 5* for that much because decent hotels charge you per room not per person. I stayed at the Krasnapolsky for about 300 Euros for 2 nights last year. Pure greed on part of the Travel Hotel owners. I'll take a bit longer and pay a little more next time I'm booking an Amsterdam hotel.

"The worst hotel I've been to in my life of 50 years!"
With almost 500 Euros for 2 nights, we can only afford 3 bunk beds, all located in the attic, i.e. 5 floor staircases to walk up n down_ no lift. The 1st night we were shifted to some tiny rooms (kinda bird nests_ see pigeons swinging n mating outside from the only tiny bathroom), 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. They must have arranged our pre-booked room for other guests. Even worse, the light in the bathroom flickers every 20 sec. We couldn't have a decent bath nor go to the loo properly. No kettle. No telephone. Low degree heating. How terrible. With £110-120 (~130 Euros) you can have an apartment (kitchen, bathroom, reception) swh just opposite Kensington Palace in W8 London. Whoever interested, I'll give you the address free. How come are hotels in Ams more expensive than those in London??? Feeling like being overcharged!!!
