"Grand plaza serviced apartments"

This hotel has a very nice lobby. You have bayswater underground just around the corner that will take you were ever you would like to go. Nice bathrooms. The only bad thing with this hotel is the Windows. I dont even know if you could call it a Window. If they would not have their thick curtains you would hear everything that happens outside. If i go to London again i would absolutely stay here again.

"Great value"

Four night stay in lovely room with great service and good breakfast Well situated for west end and for tubes to city centreClose to Kensington gardens and Hyde park for some great walks.I would definetely stay here again.

"Convenient accommodation"

Near to a busy area where there are lots of places to eat. and near to Bayswater and Queensway tube stations. I would recommend walking just a bit further to Queensway because it is on the Central Line so more convenient to connect to other stations. The apartments were nicely laid out and the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were clean although the rug in the lounge area needed a good vacuum. Breakfast was nice although it wasn't clear if we should help ourselves or if we would be served by the staff, after a while we just helped ourselves.Reception staff were friendly, helpful and very polite.

Nice apartement for a family with quite good space. Good standard and location with very friendly personnel. I can recommend this hotel especially for families travelling with children. The location is calm with shops and restaurants nearby.

"Pleasant overall experience"

First experience with grand plaza. Allocated a room right at the end of the corridor, outside the fire exit, in the stairwell. Didn't feel like a good welcome. The room was nicely made up though. Narrow double floors so not very ideal when traveling with kids. One of the windows had no lock. The ledge outside the room was filled with cigarette butts. Spent 1 night in that room anyhow.Requested a change of room. the staff were more than accommodating. They apologized and thanked us for understanding due to high occupancy. The next 2 nights in the newly allocated room was a great experience. Also at the far end of the corridor but at least not in a stairwell. Location is fantastic. Hotel staff were friendly. From front desk to housekeeping to room service and even maintenance. Will be back at grand plaza if visiting London again..

"Excellent Family Getaway"

Grand Plaza Serviced Apartments is a great place to stay, especially with children. It is clean and comfortable. The staff are VERY friendly and serviceable. And the prices cannot be beat. I recommend this lodging wholeheartedly, especially if you are on a budget.

Great location with two tube stations within a short walk. Lots of restaurants, shopping and supermarktes too. Very clean, but not very pracitical apartement. Dishwahser didn´t work well.

"Not so great stay."

My business partner and I travelled to London on business. Being in the hospitality industry ourselfs and also manage self catering apartments in Cape Town, we booked a self catering apartment with this establishment. We send two requests for twin beds and on arrival, we where booked into a double room. After complaining to reception we where moved to a twin room. This room had twin beds, small kitchenette and bathroom, no lounge. The save in the room where not mounted to the wall, carpets dirty, and the one bed broken. We booked this hotel due to the good pricing and location, but that was about it. The guy who worked at the front desk where not friendly at all and you always only got a one word answer from him.

"To be recomended"

We stayed in a family apartment. Great and helpful staff. Rooms not enormous but big enough. Spacious bathroom. Good shopping opportunities nearby. Excellent eating places in the neighbouring street. Easy to get down town.

Pros: Staff were really helpful and friendly, and the bedrooms were really well styled and finished - very modern.
Cons: The hallway of the apartments, both inside the building and the individual aprtments, looked a little dated which is a shame compared with the beautiful bedrooms.

Pros: Our room was very spacious with 3 double beds for 5 pax. the hotel is within walking distance from bayswater which has a tube station and rows of shops and restaurants that open till late. very convenient.
Cons: The double sofa beds were big but not as firm as a bed.

Cons: On our second visit to grand plaza apartments we had a one bedroom apartment, this was situated below the ground floor, you could not see any daylight or have any idea what the weather was like and felt very claustrophobic as lights needed to be on all the time.
